Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction survey details for location 58 41.008 N, 5 2.812 W off the Scottish coast near Sutherland. Historical records show this site was originally reported as a fishermens fastener in 1976 using Decca navigation. A subsequent hydrographic investigation in 1983 by Racal Survey identified an irregular rocky outcrop with a height of 2.5 meters in general depths of 64 to 72 meters. The obstruction was later surveyed in 2005 by Gardline, where it was not located and officially disproved, resulting in the status being amended to dead.
