Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the vessel Fornebo is located at coordinates 58 41.352 N, 5 11.942 W off the coast of Scotland near Stornoway. While historical maritime records once identified an underwater obstruction at this location, modern hydrographic surveys conducted by Gardline in 2005 have officially disproved the existence of the wreck at this site. Although the location was previously associated with the cargo vessel Fornebo and discussed in relation to the wreck of the Manipur, the site is now classified as not located. The area remains a point of interest for maritime historians and shipwreck researchers studying the waters near the Outer Hebrides.
