Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located off the coast of Scotland near the Minch at coordinates 58 40.458 N, 5 5.828 W. Originally reported as a potential wreck site in 1976 via Decca positioning, subsequent hydrographic investigations conducted in 1983 identified two distinct underwater contacts. These contacts were classified as geological boulders rather than wreckage, measuring 1.2 meters and 1.4 meters in height, situated within a general seabed depth of 60 to 64 meters. A final survey conducted in 2005 failed to locate any structural debris or wreckage at this position, leading to the obstruction being officially disproved and removed from active navigation records. The site is now considered clear of underwater hazards.
