Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction report for wreck located at 58 41.041 N, 5 2.412 W off the coast of Northern Scotland near the Minch. This site was historically identified as a fishermens fastener. Following hydrographic investigation by Racal Survey, the feature was identified as an irregular rocky outcrop rising 2.5 meters from the seabed in general depths of 64 to 72 meters. Subsequent surveys conducted in 2005 by Gardline failed to locate the feature, resulting in the obstruction being officially disproved and amended to dead in the UK Hydrographic Office records. Current mapping indicates no active hazard at these coordinates.
