Underwater wreck survey details for the uncharted shipwreck located at coordinates 54 9.717 S, 36 42.198 W near South Georgia Island. Examined on March 20, 2013, this intact and upright historic shipwreck lies on a 5-degree slope at right angles to the contours in general depths of 60 meters with a least multibeam depth of 53.2 meters and no scour. The structural dimensions of the wreck measure 40 meters in length, 8 meters in width, and 7 meters in height, oriented along a 055/235 degree heading with the bow facing northeast. Believed to be the remains of a historic whaler due to its close proximity to an abandoned whaling station, this submerged obstruction is officially charted as a 53-meter wreck.
