Simplified Wreck Survey

Submerged floating dock shipwreck located at coordinates 54 9.667 S, 36 42.583 W near South Georgia Island in the South Atlantic Ocean. Originally reported by HMS Endurance in 1982 and charted as a dangerous underwater obstruction with the legend floating dock submerged. Subsequent search efforts by HMS Endurance in 1989 were hindered by an abundance of kelp preventing boat examination and diving, though it was determined the wreck likely still exists. The official position was updated in 1995 and the site remains charted as a dangerous wreck with positional accuracy listed as approximate PA.
