The shipwreck PIONERSK is located off the coast of the Shetland Islands at coordinates 60 7.202 N, 1 10.649 W. Originally reported aground in November 1994, the vessel broke up significantly during the following years. Current survey data confirms the PIONERSK is now a fully submerged wreck lying in an East to West orientation. The structural condition of the wreck shows the stern remains the most intact section, resting in approximately 22 meters of water, while the bow area sits in less than 10 meters. Physical descriptions note that the wreckage includes debris such as derricks and the main mast lying across the site, with sections of the hold still identifiable.
