Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck of the BRITANNIC is located at coordinates 49 35.94 N, 2 53.08 W in the English Channel near the Les Hanois lighthouse. Although historically recorded as a sunken World War I vessel, the site was surveyed by Gardline in 2001, resulting in the wreck being officially classified as not located and disproved. Consequently, the wreck site is now officially listed as amended dead. Previous nautical charts identified the obstruction as a non-dangerous wreck with a depth of 53 meters, but modern survey data confirms the position no longer contains a recognizable structural hazard.
