The shipwreck of the vessel Terrapin is located off the southern coast of England near Portland, with official coordinates 50 36.85 N, 2 23.54 W. Originally sinking on June 2, 2000, after being burned to the waterline, subsequent hydrographic surveys by HMSML Gleaner confirmed the site is classified as a non-dangerous foul obstruction with a least multibeam depth of 16.3 meters in a general depth of 16.6 meters. The remaining structure rises no more than 4 feet proud of the seabed, featuring a scour 0.4 meters deep and measuring approximately 3.3 meters in length and 2.6 meters in width, lying on a 000/180 degree orientation with a small debris field located 30 meters northeast of the charted position.
