Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck located off the coast of Redcliff Point at coordinates 50 37.87 N, 2 21.789 W is identified as the remains of a Bombardon breakwater unit or metal barge. Originally reported in 1951 and examined by divers and hydrographic surveys including HMS Gleaner, the site consists of a very broken wreck lying on its starboard side oriented at 079/259 degrees. The structural remains feature surviving starboard plates, ribs, and bollards, measuring approximately 29.9 meters in length with a height of 4.7 meters. The wreckage dries 3.7 meters and stands 1.4 meters above the seabed, with small amounts of scattered wreckage lying within 50 meters of the main remains.

VERY BROKEN WITH LITTLE OTHER THAN STBD PLATES AND SOME RIBS AND BOLLARDS REMAINING. LIES 079/259DEGS. LENGTH 29.9MTRS, HT 4.7MTRS. DRIES 3.7MTRS. STANDS 1.4MTRS ABOVE GROUND LEVEL.
