The SHANTA SHIBANI is a historical shipwreck site located along the coastline of Sikka in the Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat, India, near coordinates 22 27.48 N, 69 48.13 E. Marine survey records from July 1991 documented the conspicuous, stranded wreck of this apparently burnt-out motor vessel resting close inshore off the Sikka port jetty head and berth. Initially verified through maritime sightings and photographs, the stranded vessel was monitored and charted through official hydrographic notices in 1991 and 1992. Follow-up surveys conducted by the Indian Government in 1996 confirmed that the wreck was no longer present or visible, leading hydrographic offices to classify the entry as dead and officially remove the obstruction from active navigational charts in 2004.
