VESSEL, BUILT 1942 BY GREAT LAKES ENGINEERING WORKS, RIVER ROUGE, MICHIGAN. SOLD TO TURKISH SHIPBREAKERS. BROKE ADRIFT FROM M TUG 'EVEREST' IN STRONG GALE-FORCE WEATHER WHILE BEING TOWED FROM ALGECIRAS TO ALIAGA FOR BREAKING. GROUNDED ON KYTHNOS ISLAND & SUBSEQUENTLY BROKE IN TWO. BOTH SECTIONS EVENTUALLY REFLOATED, TOWED TO ALIAGA TO BE SCRAPPED. (MSD).
