The underwater wreck of Port Barge No 49 is located at coordinates 22 28.397 N, 69 47.24 E in the Gulf of Kutch along the coast of Gujarat, India, in the Arabian Sea. First reported in hydrographic survey records in September 1981 by the Indian Hydrographic Office in Dehra Dun, the vessel was charted as a dangerous wreck with position approximate, located roughly 1.04 nautical miles bearing 303 degrees from Beacon A. Navigational records updated the obstruction in 1983 before official hydrographic notices in June 2002 amended the wreck status to dead, permanently deleting it from active nautical charts as a navigational hazard.
