The shipwreck known as Dredger No 1 is located in the Gulf of Kutch off the coast of Gujarat, India, at geographic coordinates 22 30.617 N, 69 50.083 E (22 30 37 N, 69 50 05 E). The vessel was initially reported stranded in October 1985. Navigational updates in October 1986 confirmed the stranded vessel position approximate, marked for maritime safety by a black and white conical buoy placed close to the southwest. Later hydrographic assessments, referenced against Indian navigational chart 203 (INT 7319), noted that the obstruction was no longer charted and officially amended the wreck status to dead in February 2008, removing it from active navigational warnings.
