| Surveying Details | H7803/22 29.11.22 BROKEN IN 3 PARTS. DWPA (1916) 121DEGS, 7C FROM S GARE LT, MARKED BY G CONL BUOY 035DEGS, 1C FROM WK. (HM COASTGUARD CAPT, HULL, 8.12.22). - NM 1986/22. H1618/30 18.4.31 EXAMINED 14 & 15.9.1925. BOTH SEAWARD PORTIONS REPORTED LEVEL WITH THE SLAG. THE LANDWARD PORTION HAD SOME PIECES LEFT WHICH WERE CONSIDERED DANGEROUS TO SMALL CRAFT CROSSING THE SLAG BANK OR MOLE. BOTH SEAWARD PORTIONS WERE EXAMINED BY DIVERS ON 21.6.29 AND WERE FOUND TO BE LEVEL WITH THE SLAG BOTTOM. THE INSHORE PORTION CONSISTS OF SMALL PIECES OF IRON MIXED WITH THE SLAG, & THE SEAWARD PORTION CONSISTS OF HEAVIER PIECES MIXED WITH THE SLAG. THE LANDWARD PORTION WAS EXAMINED AT LW ON 10.7.29 AND IT WAS FOUND THAT THERE WAS STILL SOME WRECKAGE SPREAD ABOUT. TWO PIECES OF ANGLE IRON AND SOME OF THE WRECKAGE WERE STANDING UP ABOUT 1FT ABOVE GROUND LEVEL. PORTIONS LIE CLOSE INSHORE ABREAST REDCAR IRON WORKS. SEAWARD PORTION ABOUT 119DEGS, 0.68M FROM S GARE LT. LEAST DEPTHS: SEAWARD PORTION 12FT, CENTRE PORTION 4.5FT, LANDWARD PORTION AMONG SLAG ON THE SHORE. (TEES CONSERVANCY COMMISSIONERS, 20.12.29).
