Simplified Wreck Survey

The wreck of the Eidsiva is a submerged maritime obstruction located off the coast of North East England in the North Sea at coordinates 54 38.175 N, 1 7.131 W. Historical records indicate the Eidsiva was largely salvaged between 1925 and 1932. Although historically charted as a wreck with a depth of 2 meters, subsequent investigations, including Royal Navy aerial photography and a 2017-2018 multibeam sonar survey by Clinton Marine Survey, failed to locate the wreckage. Due to the lack of evidence of a surface obstruction or visible remains, the status of the Eidsiva is now classified as dead or non-existent at this position. The site is monitored by the UK Hydrographic Office to ensure maritime safety for vessels navigating these coastal waters.
