Underwater wreck and maritime obstruction survey details for HMS SCORPION (POSSIBLY), located off the coast of the Riau Archipelago, Indonesia, near the Lingga Islands at coordinates 0° 59' S, 104° 27' E. This submerged vessel site, featuring a potential welded steel hull now well broken on the seabed, lies at a reported depth of 7.1 meters (3 fathoms 5 feet). Official UK Hydrographic Office and regional survey records show that in August 1946, the wreck was positioned at coordinates 00°59'04"S, 104°27'08"E and marked by a green conical buoy directly to the north. By March 1953, official notices confirmed the marking buoy was removed. Position coordinates were later amended on Indonesian nautical charts to 00°58'58"S, 104°26'50"E in February 1958, and adjusted again in December 1989 (Indonesian Chart 60) to coordinates 00°59'00"S, 104°27'00"E as a 7-meter reported depth shipwreck.
