First reported sunk on December 30, 1996, the vessel was cataloged as a dangerous underwater wreck by the UK Hydrographic Office in early 1997. While the vessel's owners initially planned salvage operations to refloat the ship, it remains recorded as a significant maritime obstruction at position 0° 54.167' S, 104° 21.000' E.
