The site features an inverted wreck, identified as HMS Egeria, resting on a sandy seabed overlying gravel in a general depth of 45 meters. Recent hydrographic surveys confirm a least water column depth of 40.9 meters. The structural description of the wreck indicates a length of 21.9 meters, a width of 4.7 meters, and a height of 3.34 meters, oriented at 143/323 degrees. The hull is clearly visible and sits on its base but has broken up, showing a strong magnetic anomaly with the shoalest point suspected to be the rudder.
