This underwater obstruction sits in a general depth of 45 meters with a least depth of 36.9 meters. Verified through hydrographic surveys and historical records—including the recovery of its bell by Billy Woolford in 2008—the wreck measures 66.8 meters in length, 13.2 meters in width, and 10.1 meters in height, oriented at 050/240 degrees. The Hugh Taylor rests on its hull but has broken apart, is partially buried in sand ripples over gravel, and produces a strong magnetic anomaly alongside an 8-meter scour oriented toward 150 degrees.
