Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at coordinates 53 17.956 N, 6 7.519 W off the coast of County Dublin, Ireland, in the Irish Sea. Historical survey data initially identified a possible wreck or underwater debris at this position, featuring a general depth of 5 meters, a length of 4.5 meters, and a height of 2.8 meters. Early reports suggested the object was almost circular, potentially a rock patch or scattered debris. Following a 2007 review, the least depth was revised to 1.2 meters. However, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 2011 by RV Keary were unable to locate the obstruction, leading to its classification as dead or disproved. As of 2014, Irish wreck records noted an obstruction at 4.53 meters, but it remains unchartered on official British Admiralty charts. Mariners should note this location as an area where historical underwater obstruction data has been investigated but remains inconclusive.
