Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck survey details for coordinates 58 58.889 N, 5 21.494 W located in the Minch off the west coast of Scotland. This underwater obstruction was originally identified as a broken steel wreck lying in a north-south orientation at a general water depth of 84 to 86 meters. The structural description indicated a broken wreck with two distinct high points, a height of 3.5 meters, a length of 70 meters, and a width of 7 meters, with no observed seabed scour. While initially charted as a wreck at a depth of 81 meters, a subsequent 2005 survey using multibeam echosounder and magnetometer technology failed to locate the wreckage at these coordinates. Consequently, the wreck status has been disproved and the site is officially classified as dead.
