Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at 58 57.822 N, 5 27.893 W off the west coast of Scotland near the Minch. Historical survey records previously identified a potential hazard in this vicinity. A detailed underwater inspection conducted in 1983 examined this contact, classifying the obstruction as a large boulder or debris field. The formation is characterized by localized scouring on the seabed with a structural height of 1.5 meters rising from a general water depth of 90 to 93 meters. Subsequent sonar survey efforts in 2005 failed to relocate the obstruction at these coordinates, leading to its classification as disproved and dead in official hydrographic records. This site is no longer considered an active navigational hazard to shipping.
