Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck named Nord is located at coordinates 54 11.013 N, 0 6.604 W approximately 4 miles north of Flamborough Head off the English coastline. Originally sinking in tow of the vessel Admiral in July 1918, historical survey records note the site has undergone several status changes over the decades, including designations as a non-dangerous wreck and reports of a foul obstruction. Modern multibeam sonar surveys conducted in May 2016 failed to locate the remains within the designated fishing area exclusion zone, leading hydrographic authorities to amend the wreck status as dead.
