Simplified Wreck Survey
The wreck of the GLEN ROSA lies on the southeastern coast of the Isle of Mull in Scotland, near the Firth of Lorn, at coordinates 56 19.508 N, 5 47.548 W, approximately 1.5 to 2 miles northeast of Frank Lockwood's Island. First reported ashore in June 1958, surveys by HMS Shackleton observed the grounded vessel lying above the high water line and broken in two. Subsequent maritime surveys documented the onshore remains of a triple expansion steam engine dated 1938, with additional wreckage scattered to the southeast in water depths ranging from 3 to 50 meters. Charted as an underwater obstruction and foul ground, the site encompasses inshore and submerged wreckage along the Mull coastline.
