Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck known as MAZI is located at coordinates 51 21.284 N, 1 34.395 E near the North Goodwin Light Vessel off the coast of Kent, England. Originally identified as the SS Rayford which sank in 1936, the wreck site has been subject to multiple hydrographic surveys by the UK Hydrographic Office. Intensive sonar searches conducted in 1979 by HMS Egeria and multibeam dataset reviews in 2018 failed to locate any structural remains at this position. The wreck is currently classified as dead, indicating that no physical obstruction or welded steel structure remains at this location on the seabed.
