Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck known as Hydromiss 3 is located at coordinates 50 39.934 N, 1 54.982 W near Poole Bar Buoy in the English Channel. Originally reported sunk 0.5 meters off the buoy in 35 feet of water, the site has a history of difficult location attempts. It was not found during hydrographic surveys in 1977 by HMS Hydra or in 2012 using multibeam sonar and magnetometers. Due to the inability to locate the obstruction and positional corrections over time, the UK Hydrographic Office has officially classified the Hydromiss 3 wreck record as dead and too vague to chart.
