Circumstances of loss

In 2019 divers from Bournemouth University investigated a known obstruction within Poole Bay, on behalf of Trevor Small of Rocket Charters, and discovered the partially exposed remains of a wooden shipwreck.Given the presence of medieval stonework and associated artefacts and their vulnerability to uncontrolled salvage and theft, designation under the 1973 Act is recommended.
