The wreck of the Stonecarrier is a historically significant underwater obstruction located in the English Channel off the coast of Kent, United Kingdom. The vessel is positioned at coordinates 51 20.55 N, 1 27.879 E near the approaches to the Port of Dover. Following its initial sinking in 1983 and subsequent salvage operations, the site was officially declared cleared by maritime authorities. A comprehensive multibeam survey conducted in September 2019 confirmed that no wreckage remains at these coordinates, as the vessel was successfully refloated and removed from the seabed. The site, previously marked by an east cardinal buoy, is now considered free of obstruction. Current hydrographic data indicates NFA (No Further Action) for this location.
