The wreck of the vessel GREYPOINT is recorded at coordinates 51 20.367 N, 1 29.396 E, located approximately 2 miles southeast of the Broadstairs coastline in the English Channel. Historically reported as a World War I casualty torpedoed by a German torpedo boat, this site has been the subject of multiple hydrographic surveys. Despite intensive searches, including a 1978 survey by HMS Egeria and modern 2019 multibeam sonar datasets by Clinton Marine Survey, no structural remains, wreckage, or debris have been located at or near these coordinates. Consequently, the GREYPOINT is officially classified as a dead entry in maritime records, as modern survey technology has confirmed no physical obstruction exists at this location.
