THERE WERE NO ECHO SOUNDER INDICATIONS OF A WRECK IN THE AREA AND A BOTTOM SEARCH REVEALED NOTHING BUT A FLAT SANDY BOTTOM AT 70FT. OTHER DIVERS HAVE FOUND A WRECK NEARER TOLL'S ISLAND WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE THE BARQUE 'ST VINCENT' SUNK IN 1882.THIS WK WAS NOT LOCATED. (RAF HONINGTON SUB AQUA EXPEDITION REPORT, 1-15.8.75). NCA. BUILT IN 1867 BY CLARKE, JERSEY. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SCRUTTON & SONS, GRACE ST, LONDON. PASSAGE ST VINCENT FOR THE ISLES OF SCILLY. STRUCK W EDGE OF SPANISH LEDGES WHILST UNDER PILOTAGE. BEGAN TO MAKE WATER AND ANCHORED IN CROW SOUND. LATER SANK. CREW RECOVERED. (SIBI).
