A LARGE QUANTITY OF CANNON IN 30FT OF WATER NOW IDENTIFIED AS COMING FROM THE HM BRIG FORESTER WHICH SANK 13.2.1833. (RNAS CULDROSE SUB AQUA CLUB REPORT). NCA. POSN FOR FILING ONLY. 1.5.69 SEVENTEEN CANNON RECOVERED. (R EDMONDS). 5.10.70 TWO CORRODED CANNON FOUND IN AREA OVERGROWN WITH KELP IN 30FT OF WATER. (RAF ST ATHAN SUB AQUA CLUB REPORT, JULY 1969). 5.10.70 5.10.70 REPORTED THAT FOUR CANNON WERE FOUND SOMEWHAT CORRODED. 13.2.1833 REPORTED THAT HMS FORESTER ON VOYAGE FROM PLYMOUTH TO AFRICA WAS ASHORE AT ST MARTINS ON 13.2.1833, BUT WAS REFLOATED AND TOWED TO PLYMOUTH BY STEAMER. (SHIPWRECKS ROUND THE ISLES OF SCILLY). 27.11.1843 BUILT IN 1832 AT CHATHAM DOCKYARD, CHATHAM DRIFTED AGROUND ON TO CRUTHER'S POINT, ST MARTINS. TOWED TO PLYMOUTH AND RETURNED TO SERVICE AFTER REPAIRS, BEING SOLD OUT OF THE NAVY ON 27.11.1843. (SHIPWRECK INDEX OF THE BRITISH ISLES).
