EX-PEGASUS TIMBER (1984), EX-FOOCHOW (1980), EX-BELLA COOLA (1977). BUILT IN 1972 BY VEB MATTHIAS-THESEN-WERFT, WISMAR. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY KINGSLAND SHIPPING LTD. PASSAGE INDONESIA FOR INCHON, SOUTH KOREA. VESSEL HAD ENGINE TROUBLE, STRUCK A REEF & RAN AGROUND OFF LU TAO, SE OF TIAWAN. SHE THEN BROKE IN TWO. 28 OF THE 30 FILIPINO CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED.
