BUILT IN 1981 BY TOKUSHIMA ZOSEN SANGYO K.K., KOMATSUJIMA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TRUST UNION SHIPPING CORPORATION. SANK WHILE ON PASSAGE BINTULU, SARAWAK FOR UCHIURA, HONSHU, JAPAN. DECK CARGO SHIFTED DURING VERY HEAVY WEATHER AND VESSEL TOOK ON 20DEG LIST. VESSEL TOOK ON WATER AND PUMPS COULD NOT COPE. ALL 17 CREW WERE SAFELY RESCUED. (MSD)
