Circumstances of loss

VESSEL, BUILT 1956 BY D.W. KREMNER SOHN G.M.B.H. & CO., ELMSHORN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY KHODRE ADEL EL-HOSS. ON PASSAGE FROM TUNIS FOR BULGARIA. ABANDONED BY HER CREW AFTER A FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE ENGINE-ROOM. ALL 17 CREW SAFE. THE VESSEL WAS TOWED TO SIRACUSA, SUBSEQUENTLY SOLD TO A SHIPBREAKER IN NAPLES, TO BE SCRAPED. (MSD).
