Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck PAX is an underwater obstruction located in the Kattegat sea off the coast of Denmark at coordinates 56 48.97 N, 11 09.93 E (also charted at 56 49.00 N, 11 10.00 E). According to official hydrographic survey details, the sunken vessel was monitored extensively after initial reports in late 2021 noted its mast projecting approximately 2 meters above the water level. Maritime authorities deployed temporary flashing green light buoys and wreck marking buoys roughly 75 to 150 meters west-southwest of the site to protect marine navigation. Subsequent Danish hydrographic assessments confirmed the wreck settled with a least depth clearance of 11.0 meters (approximately 6 fathoms), leading to the removal of all temporary marker buoys in mid-2022. The PAX remains recorded as a submerged maritime wreck on the Kattegat seabed.
