Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Nagel lies submerged in the Kattegat sea, located northwest of the Danish island of Anholt at coordinates 56 50.97 N, 10 57.763 E. Surveying records from the UK Hydrographic Office and the Board of Trade document that the vessel sank in October 1924. Initially marked as a hazardous underwater obstruction with green conical buoys to the west, the wreck was dispersed by December 1924 to a clearance depth of 11.0 meters (approximately 6 fathoms), after which the navigational marker buoys were removed. Subsequent hydrographic surveys and Danish nautical charts have recorded the location as foul ground near 56 51.00 N, 10 57.50 E, marking the site of this historical maritime casualty in Danish waters.
