The underwater wreck site known as PANDORA (POSSIBLY) is located off the coast of Staithes in the North Sea at coordinates 54 36.509 N, 0 42.518 W. This obstruction was historically reported 4 miles from Staithes at a 45-degree angle. Despite historical survey reports and multiple search attempts including a 2016 multibeam survey, no wreckage has been confirmed at this location. Current hydrographic data indicates the site is considered non-existent or cleared for navigational purposes. While the wreck was initially listed in the Kingfisher Obstruction Booklet for the Whitby area, recent surveys confirm the site contains no visible underwater structure, welded steel, or debris.
