Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck located off the coast of Whitby at coordinates 54 36.044 N, 0 43.115 W. This well broken up shipwreck rests in a general depth of 43 meters with a least depth of 39.38 meters over the obstruction. The site measures approximately 53.1 meters in length, 6.8 meters in width, and 4.02 meters in height, with an orientation of 090/270 degrees. Historical survey data indicates a very old, decayed vessel likely built before 1862, featuring remnants of a compound engine, large square boilers, bare frames, bottom plates, a bow section, and a winch. The wreck site is significantly deteriorated and remains a noted underwater obstruction in the North Sea near Whitby.
