Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located off the Dorset coast near Chesil Beach at coordinates 50 34.603 N, 2 28.455 W. This wreck site was examined in September 2008 using DGPS, revealing a least multibeam depth of 8.39 meters within a general seabed depth of 11.4 meters. The obstruction measures 4 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and stands 2.5 meters high with distinct straight sides and no surrounding scour. The site is possibly associated with the historic Royal Adelaide wreck. This underwater feature is charted as an obstruction with a depth of 8.3 meters.
