Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck site status report for an obstruction located at coordinates 50 35.944 N, 2 26.669 W near Portland, Dorset. Historical hydrographic surveying records from the UK Hydrographic Office confirm that this obstruction was previously identified as a wreck lying on its side. The site was historically surveyed at a least depth of 3.8 meters within a general water depth of 8.5 meters, with a recorded scour depth of 8.6 meters. The wreck was oriented on a 070/250 degree axis, accompanied by mooring buoys on the seabed. Following official operations conducted by the Queen's Harbour Master at Portland, this wreck was officially reported as removed in 1994 and subsequently deleted from hydrographic charts. This location is situated off the coast of Portland, a common area for small craft navigation.
