Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located in Dublin Bay at coordinates 53 19.824 N, 6 8.074 W. This submerged contact was identified during a 2011 GSI Dublin Bay survey. The obstruction has a least multibeam depth of 5.04 meters with a structural height of 0.5 meters. The site is classified as foul ground and is characterized by general debris. While initial survey data indicated a possible wreck or obstruction, subsequent investigation by the RV Keary in June 2011 failed to relocate the contact in the area, which has a general depth of 5.5 meters. The site remains noted in maritime records as a potential underwater hazard.
