Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck known as the Oscar was historically located at coordinates 34 38.583 S, 58 6.417 W, situated within the North Channel near kilometer 24 of the Rio de la Plata, off the coast of Buenos Aires. Initially identified as a submerged obstruction in 1929 and marked by a green conical light buoy, the wreck was successfully refloated and removed from the waterway in 1931. This site is no longer considered a hazard to navigation.
