Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck known as the Nora is located off the coast of Deal, Kent, in the English Channel at coordinates 51 13.417 N, 1 26.146 E. Historically recorded as a vessel mined during World War II, the Nora subsequently hit the Deal Pier, capsized, and was later cut up for scrap metal. Following multiple hydrographic surveys, including multibeam echosounder datasets from 1974, 1979, and 2019, the wreck is classified as not located. Due to salvage operations and the passage of time, very little structural wreckage remains at this location, and the site is officially recorded as clear of obstructions.
