The shipwreck NAW lies in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland at coordinates 58 38.457 N, 0 45.447 W. The vessel capsized and sank, coming to rest on its port side oriented along an East to West heading of 110/290 degrees. Based on hydrographic survey data, the wreck has a length of approximately 40 to 50 meters and a height of 9.5 meters, lying in a general water depth of 130 meters with a clearance depth of 105 to 120 meters. The site is located approximately 5 kilometers north of the Flotta pipeline.
