Underwater wreck and obstruction report for a lost 30,000 LB anchor located at coordinates 58 32.927 N, 0 46.017 W in the North Sea. This subsea obstruction consists of a massive steel anchor attached to 18 feet of 3 inch heavy duty anchor chain and a swivel. The debris was originally lost during the clearing of well 14/12-1 by Union Oil Co of Great Britain. The obstruction is currently classified as foul and is noted on British Admiralty nautical charts. Mariners and divers navigating the North Sea offshore waters should be aware of this significant steel seabed hazard.
