The shipwreck Merle is an intact steel-hulled vessel located in the waters off the UK coast at coordinates 49 48.221 N, 5 12.494 W. This underwater obstruction lies upright on a general seabed depth of 83 meters with a least echo sounder depth of 78 meters and no scour. Confirmed by diving surveys and hydrographic examinations, the small historic wreck measures approximately 47 meters in length with a 9-meter beam, oriented on a 030/210 degree heading, and features a vertical height of 5.1 meters.
