The shipwreck FRANCES is a historical underwater obstruction located off the coast of The Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, United Kingdom. While historical records previously listed the wreck near coordinates 49 52.037 N, 5 9.062 W, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted by Gardline have resulted in the site being classified as not located and disproved. This location is now officially amended to dead in hydrographic records. Though previously associated with a sinking 6 miles south of The Lizard, modern data indicates no structural remains such as steel plating or wreckage are currently present at these coordinates. This entry serves as a formal update for maritime navigation and historical wreck database indexing.
