Simplified Wreck Survey

The Maud Mary is an underwater wreck located off the coast of Handfast Point near Old Harry Rocks in the English Channel, positioned at coordinates 50 38.534 N, 1 55.332 W. Originally running ashore on December 20, 1939, the vessel settled down on its port bilge and filled with water before reportedly breaking up by January 1940. Subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 1977 by HMS Hydra, 1992 by HMS Roebuck, and in 2012 using multibeam sonar and magnetometers failed to locate any remaining structure, leading authorities to amend the wreck status to dead as no trace of the vessel remains on the seabed.
