28.10.88 BUILT 1958 BY ROLANDWERFT G.M.B.H., BREMEN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SAFOSTAM SHIPPING CO. PASSAGE AJMAN, UAE FOR BOMBAY. TOWED TO BOMBAY FOLLOWING ENGINE BREAKDOWN. AFTER CARGO WAS DISCHARGED TOWED TO SUNK ROADS BUT SPRANG A LEAK. VESSEL WAS ANCHORED ON SEWRI MUDFLATS BUT FOUNDERED WHILE LYING UNMANNED AT ANCHOR. SUBSEQUENTLY SOLD FOR SCRAP, BEING RAISED & REMOVED ON 28.10.88. (MSD)
